Ingredients

  • 50 g Asafoetida Powder
  • 200 g Dahi
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • - Besan
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 50g Everest Garam Masala
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 250 g Spinach

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala, asafoetida, and salt. Add yogurt and gradually mix in enough water to create a smooth, lump-free batter of pouring consistency.
  2. 2. Fold in the chopped spinach, tomato, and green chili into the batter. Mix well to ensure even distribution of ingredients.
  3. 3. Heat a non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with a few drops of oil.
  4. 4. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it out gently in a circular motion to form a thin crepe.
  5. 5. Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the edges start to lift and the underside turns golden brown. Flip the cheela and cook the other side for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. 6. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding a few drops of oil to the pan as needed.
  7. 7. Serve the cheelas hot with yogurt or your favorite chutney on the side.
