Flavorsome Tofu Biryani recipe

Ingredients

  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 1 kg Basmati Rice
  • - Baby Tomatoes
  • 250g Green Chilli
  • 400 g Curd
  • - Fresh Tofu

  • 50 Grms Kala Masala Handmade Spices 50 Grms
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 45 g Garam Masala
  • 100 g Salt
  • 200 ml Sesame Oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash the basmati rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  2. 2. Cut the tofu into cubes and marinate with turmeric, chili powder, and a pinch of salt for 10 minutes.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a large pan, fry the tofu cubes until golden and crispy, then remove and set aside.
  4. 4. In the same pan, fry sliced onions until golden brown and crispy, then set aside for garnishing.
  5. 5. Add whole spices to the pan and sauté until aromatic, then add ginger-garlic paste and stir well.
  6. 6. Add chopped tomatoes, green chilies, turmeric powder, chili powder, and garam masala to the pan, cooking until the tomatoes soften.
  7. 7. Mix in the dairy-free curd, stirring until it blends with the spices, then add coriander and mint leaves.
  8. 8. Layer the soaked rice over the spice mixture, followed by the fried tofu cubes and some crispy onions.
  9. 9. Pour 400ml of water into the pan, cover tightly, and cook on low heat for 20 minutes until the rice is fluffy.
  10. 10. Let the biryani rest for 5 minutes before serving, then garnish with remaining crispy onions and fresh coriander.
