A fragrant and protein-packed tofu biryani, layered with spices, basmati rice, and crispy fried onions. Perfect for a satisfying dinner.
Ingredients
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 1 kg Basmati Rice
- - Baby Tomatoes
- 250g Green Chilli
- 400 g Curd
- - Fresh Tofu

- 50 Grms Kala Masala Handmade Spices 50 Grms
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 45 g Garam Masala
- 100 g Salt
- 200 ml Sesame Oil
Instructions
- 1. Wash the basmati rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- 2. Cut the tofu into cubes and marinate with turmeric, chili powder, and a pinch of salt for 10 minutes.
- 3. Heat oil in a large pan, fry the tofu cubes until golden and crispy, then remove and set aside.
- 4. In the same pan, fry sliced onions until golden brown and crispy, then set aside for garnishing.
- 5. Add whole spices to the pan and sauté until aromatic, then add ginger-garlic paste and stir well.
- 6. Add chopped tomatoes, green chilies, turmeric powder, chili powder, and garam masala to the pan, cooking until the tomatoes soften.
- 7. Mix in the dairy-free curd, stirring until it blends with the spices, then add coriander and mint leaves.
- 8. Layer the soaked rice over the spice mixture, followed by the fried tofu cubes and some crispy onions.
- 9. Pour 400ml of water into the pan, cover tightly, and cook on low heat for 20 minutes until the rice is fluffy.
- 10. Let the biryani rest for 5 minutes before serving, then garnish with remaining crispy onions and fresh coriander.
