- 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
- 500 g Onion
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 200 g Dahi
- 200 ml Sesame Oil
- 50 Grms Garam Masala Handmade Spices 50 Grms
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt.
- 2. Gradually add yogurt to the dry ingredients and mix well to form a smooth batter, adding a little water if needed. The batter should have a pancake-like consistency.
- 3. Fold in the chopped tomato, onion, green chili, and coriander leaves into the batter, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
- 4. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle on medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
- 5. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it out gently into a thin circle.
- 6. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes.
- 7. Repeat the process for the remaining batter, greasing the pan lightly before each cheela.
- 8. Serve the cooked cheelas hot with a side of mint chutney or plain yogurt for dipping.
