- 100 g Tamarind Paste
- 250 g Tendercuts Basa Boneless Fillet F&S
- 5 Pieces Banana Leaf (Baale Yele)
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
- - Coriander Powder
- 110 g Unpeeled Garlic Cloves
- loose Ginger
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
- - PARACHUTE COCONUT OIL 100ML
- 100 g Orika Big Mustard Seeds
- 50 g Pluckk Organic Curry Leaves
Instructions
- 1. Clean and pat dry the fish steaks, ensuring they are free of moisture for even marination.
- 2. Make a paste with tamarind pulp, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garlic, ginger, and salt.
- 3. Coat the fish steaks evenly with the prepared tamarind spice paste and let them marinate for 15 minutes.
- 4. Heat coconut oil in a pan and add mustard seeds; wait until they start popping.
- 5. Add fresh curry leaves to the pan, allowing them to release their aroma into the oil.
- 6. Place each marinated fish steak onto a banana leaf and fold the leaf securely to create a parcel.
- 7. Arrange the banana leaf parcels in the hot pan and cover with a lid to trap steam.
