Ingredients
- 1 kg Basmati Rice
- 6 pcs White Eggs
- 500 g Onion
- - Tomato Ketchup
- 250g Green Chilli
- 100 g Garlic
- loose Ginger
- 100 g Jeera
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 45 g Garam Masala
- 100 g Salt
- 1pc Watermelon
- - Coriander Powder
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the basmati rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 20 minutes.
- 2. Boil the eggs, peel them, and set them aside for later use.
- 3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan and add cumin seeds until aromatic.
- 4. Add finely chopped onion, garlic, and ginger to the pan and sauté until golden brown.
- 5. Stir in chopped tomatoes and green chilies, cooking until the mixture softens into a paste.
- 6. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala, mixing well to incorporate the spices.
- 7. Add the boiled eggs, breaking them slightly with a spatula to mix them with the masala.
- 8. Drain the soaked rice and mix it gently into the pan with the eggs.
- 9. Add water and salt, bringing the mixture to a boil before reducing the heat to simmer.
- 10. Cover the pan and cook on low heat for 15 minutes or until the rice is fully cooked.
- 11. Remove from heat and let the rice rest, covered, for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
- 12. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve warm.
