Ingredients

  • 200 g Green Peas (Peeled)
  • 500 g Carrot
  • 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
  • 50 g Sakthi Curry Powder
  • 80 g Urban Platter Cayenne Pepper Powder
  • 1 kg Tata Salt (Vacuum Evaporated Iodised)
  • 1 kg Whole Farm Grocery Sugar (Packet)

Instructions

  1. 1. Peel and dice 1 large carrot and finely chop 1/2 cup of onion.
  2. 2. In a large pot, combine 8 oz of green peas, the diced carrot, and chopped onion.
  3. 3. Add 1 tsp curry powder, 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tsp sugar to the pot.
  4. 4. Pour in 5 cups of water and bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  5. 5. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 50 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the peas and carrots are tender.
  6. 6. Remove the pot from heat and let it cool slightly. Puree the soup in a blender until smooth.
  7. 7. Return the soup to the pot, reheat if necessary, and adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
