Ingredients
- 1Kg Potato
- 500 g Onion
- 250g Green Chilli
- 300 g Ginger Paste
- - Garlic Paste
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- - Rice Flour
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
Instructions
- 1. Boil the potatoes until soft, peel them, and mash them thoroughly in a large bowl.
- 2. Soak the soy granules in hot water for 10 minutes, then drain and squeeze out excess water.
- 3. Heat 1 teaspoon of oil in a pan and sauté the onions, green chili, ginger paste, and garlic paste until fragrant.
- 4. Add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt to the pan, and cook for 1 minute.
- 5. Combine the mashed potatoes, soy granules, sautéed mixture, and chopped coriander leaves in a mixing bowl.
- 6. Add rice flour and lemon juice to the mixture, kneading it into a firm dough.
- 7. Shape the mixture into small croquettes or cylinders of equal size.
- 8. Heat the remaining oil in a deep pan or kadhai for frying over medium heat.
- 9. Fry the croquettes in batches until they are golden brown and crisp on all sides.
- 10. Remove the croquettes using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- 11. Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup for a delightful snack.
