Ingredients
- 600g Wholegrain Rolled Oats Jar/Pouch
- - Rice Flour
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 250g Green Chilli
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Dry roast the rolled oats in a pan until they turn slightly golden and aromatic.
- 2. In a mixing bowl, combine the roasted oats, rice flour, mashed potatoes, and chopped coriander leaves.
- 3. Add green chili paste, cumin powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt, mixing well to form a uniform dough.
- 4. Gradually add water to the mixture and knead into a soft, pliable dough.
- 5. Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into bite-sized patties or balls.
- 6. Heat oil in a non-stick pan on medium flame for shallow frying.
- 7. Place the shaped bites into the pan and cook until golden brown on each side, flipping occasionally.
- 8. Remove the cooked bites and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- 9. Serve warm with a side of green chutney or enjoy them as is for a crunchy treat.
- 10. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days.
