- 500G Loose Besan
- 250g Green Chilli
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- loose Ginger
- 100 g Jeera
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 100 g Salt
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Cut firm tofu into small bite-sized cubes, ensuring they are evenly shaped for frying.
- 2. In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, chickpea flour, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt.
- 3. Finely chop green chilies, coriander leaves, and ginger, then add them to the flour mixture.
- 4. Slowly add water to the flour mixture, stirring to form a thick batter that can coat the tofu evenly.
- 5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat until it reaches frying temperature.
- 6. Dip each tofu cube into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated, then gently place it into the hot oil.
- 7. Fry the pakoras in batches, turning them occasionally, until they turn golden-brown and crispy.
- 8. Remove the fried pakoras using a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 9. Sprinkle cumin seeds over the freshly fried pakoras for added flavor and texture.
- 10. Serve the crispy tofu pakoras hot with mint chutney or tamarind sauce for dipping.
