Ingredients
- - Fresh Tofu
- - Rice Flour
- 500 g Weikfield Cornstarch Amazingly Versatile Gluten Free
- - Red Chilli
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Everest Garam Masala Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 50 g Black Pepper Powder
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
- - Coriander Powder
- 100g Greek Yogurt
- - Bell Peppers
- 500 g Curd
- 500 G Raw Banana (500Gm)
- - Cumin Powder-50 Gm
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 500 Ml Champion Oil
Instructions
- 1. Cut the tofu into rectangular fingers, approximately 1 cm thick, and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- 2. In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, cornstarch, red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, and black pepper.
- 3. Lightly coat the tofu fingers in the dry spice-flour mixture, ensuring all sides are evenly covered.
- 4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until it reaches frying temperature (around 180°C).
- 5. Carefully drop the coated tofu fingers into the hot oil in small batches to avoid overcrowding.
- 6. Fry the tofu until golden-brown and crispy, flipping occasionally for even cooking, about 6-8 minutes per batch.
- 7. Remove the tofu fries from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- 8. Sprinkle the fried tofu fingers with a dash of lemon juice and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
- 9. Serve the crispy tofu masala fries hot with your favorite chutney or a side of yogurt dip for extra flavor.
