Ingredients
- 80 g Soya Chunks
- - Rice Flour
- 500 g Jaggery
- - Red Chilli
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- 45 g Garam Masala
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 100 g Salt
- 1pc Watermelon
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
Instructions
- 1. Soak the soya chunks in warm water for 10 minutes until soft, then squeeze out excess water.
- 2. Prepare a batter by mixing rice flour, cornstarch, turmeric, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt with a little water.
- 3. Dip the soya chunks into the batter, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- 4. Heat oil in a pan and shallow-fry the coated soya chunks until golden and crispy on all sides.
- 5. In a separate pan, combine tamarind pulp, jaggery, red chili powder, garam masala, and a pinch of salt; cook until the glaze thickens.
- 6. Toss the fried soya chunks in the tamarind glaze until fully coated.
- 7. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves before serving.
