Ingredients
- 500G Loose Besan
- 1Kg Potato
- 250 g Carrot
- 250g Green Chilli
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 100 g Salt
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Soak the soy chunks in warm water for 10 minutes until they soften.
- 2. Peel and grate the potato and carrot into a mixing bowl.
- 3. Finely chop green chilies and coriander leaves and add them to the bowl.
- 4. Squeeze excess water from the soaked soy chunks and finely chop them.
- 5. Mix the soy chunks with the grated vegetables and chopped ingredients.
- 6. Add chickpea flour, cumin powder, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt to the mixture.
- 7. Slowly add water to form a thick batter while ensuring everything combines well.
- 8. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat for frying.
- 9. Shape small portions of the batter into fritters using your hands or a spoon.
- 10. Gently place the fritters into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on all sides.
- 11. Remove the fritters with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- 12. Serve the crispy fritters hot with chutney or ketchup for dipping.
