Crispy Soy Chunk and Quinoa Tikki recipe

Ingredients

  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 100 g Quinoa
  • 1Kg Potato
  • 500 g Onion
  • 250g Green Chilli
  • loose Ginger
  • 80 g Soya Chunks
  • 45 g Garam Masala
  • 50 g Cumin Powder
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • - Rice Flour
  • 1 l Soyabean Oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Soak the soy chunks in hot water for 10 minutes and squeeze out excess water.
  2. 2. Boil the potatoes until soft, peel them, and mash them in a bowl.
  3. 3. Cook the quinoa in water until fully absorbed and then let it cool down.
  4. 4. Finely chop the onion, green chilies, ginger, and coriander leaves.
  5. 5. In a large bowl, mix mashed potatoes, cooked quinoa, soy chunks, and chopped vegetables.
  6. 6. Add garam masala, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and salt to the mixture and stir well.
  7. 7. Sprinkle rice flour into the mixture and knead it into a firm dough.
  8. 8. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape each portion into round patties.
  9. 9. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  10. 10. Place the patties in the pan and cook each side until golden brown and crispy.
  11. 11. Remove the patties from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  12. 12. Serve hot with mint chutney or a side of fresh salad for added flavor.
