Ingredients

  • 200 g Itc Master Chef Medium Prawns Peeled & Deveined (Frozen)
  • 1 kg Rice
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Red Chilli Powder
  • 100 g Popular Essentials Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
  • 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
  • loose Ginger
  • 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
  • 250 ml Keya Lemon Juice
  • - Rock Salt
  • 500 ml Oil (For Frying)

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the prawns thoroughly and pat them dry using a kitchen towel.
  2. 2. Marinate the prawns with turmeric powder, red chili powder, and lemon juice for 10 minutes.
  3. 3. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, letting them crackle.
  4. 4. Add minced garlic and ginger to the pan, stir for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. 5. Add rice to the pan and stir well to coat with the garlic and ginger mixture.
  6. 6. Pour water into the pan, season with coriander powder and rock salt, then bring to a boil.
  7. 7. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and simmer the rice for 15 minutes until cooked and fluffy.
  8. 8. Meanwhile, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil in a separate pan over medium heat.
