Ingredients
- 200 g Itc Master Chef Medium Prawns Peeled & Deveined (Frozen)
- 1 kg Rice
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 100 g Popular Essentials Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- loose Ginger
- 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
- 250 ml Keya Lemon Juice
- - Rock Salt
- 500 ml Oil (For Frying)
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the prawns thoroughly and pat them dry using a kitchen towel.
- 2. Marinate the prawns with turmeric powder, red chili powder, and lemon juice for 10 minutes.
- 3. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, letting them crackle.
- 4. Add minced garlic and ginger to the pan, stir for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 5. Add rice to the pan and stir well to coat with the garlic and ginger mixture.
- 6. Pour water into the pan, season with coriander powder and rock salt, then bring to a boil.
- 7. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and simmer the rice for 15 minutes until cooked and fluffy.
- 8. Meanwhile, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil in a separate pan over medium heat.
- 9. Add the marinated prawns to the pan and cook for 4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
- 10. Garnish the rice with fresh coriander leaves and serve alongside the crispy prawns.
