- 250g Green Chilli
- loose Ginger
- 100 g Jeera
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Rinse and soak the moong dal in water for 4 hours or overnight.
- 2. Drain the soaked dal and grind it into a coarse paste with green chilies, ginger, and a little water.
- 3. In a mixing bowl, combine the moong dal paste with rice flour, chopped coriander, cumin seeds, turmeric, and salt.
- 4. Gradually add water to the mixture to create a thick batter, ensuring it holds its shape when dropped into oil.
- 5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat for frying.
- 6. Using a spoon, drop small portions of the batter into the hot oil carefully.
- 7. Fry the fritters until golden brown and crispy on all sides, turning occasionally for even cooking.
- 8. Remove the fritters from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- 9. Serve the crispy fritters warm with a mint or tamarind chutney for dipping.
