Ingredients
- 500G Tata Masoor Dal M
- - Rice Flour
- 500 g Onion
- 250g Green Chilli
- - Coriander Powder
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Salt
Instructions
- 1. Wash and soak the masoor dal in water for 4 hours, then drain and blend into a coarse paste.
- 2. Finely chop the onion, green chilies, and coriander leaves, and add them to the lentil paste.
- 3. Mix in rice flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, and salt to form a thick dough-like mixture.
- 4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan on medium heat until it is hot but not smoking.
- 5. Take small portions of the mixture, shape them into flat patties, and carefully slide them into the hot oil.
- 6. Fry the fritters in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until they turn golden brown and crispy.
- 7. Use a slotted spoon to remove the fritters from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 8. Serve the fritters hot with mint chutney or tamarind sauce for dipping.
