- 1 Kg Tarli (Sardine Type)
- - Rice Flour
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- - Coriander Powder

- 1. Clean and pat dry the sardines thoroughly to remove any excess moisture.
- 2. In a mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, rice flour, chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, carom seeds, and salt.
- 3. Gradually add water to the flour mixture, whisking to form a smooth and thick batter.
- 4. Heat mustard oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until it reaches frying temperature.
- 5. Dip each sardine into the batter, ensuring it is evenly coated, and gently lower it into the hot oil.
- 6. Fry the sardines in batches for 3-4 minutes per side, or until they turn crispy and golden brown.
- 7. Remove the fried sardines onto a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
