- 125 g Golden Prize Sardine In Oil With Chili
- 1 pack (500 g) Daily Good Besan / Gram Flour / Chana Besan
- 1 pack (500 g) Bhagyalakshmi Rice Flour
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 1 pack (100 g) Everest - Ginger Garlic Paste
- 250 ml Keya Lemon Juice
- - Onion-250 Gms
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
Instructions
- 1. Rinse and pat dry the sardines thoroughly to remove excess moisture.
- 2. In a bowl, mix chickpea flour, rice flour, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt.
- 3. Add ginger-garlic paste, grated fresh turmeric, and lemon juice to the dry mixture.
- 4. Slowly add water to the mixture and whisk into a smooth, lump-free batter.
- 5. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat until it reaches frying temperature.
- 6. Dip each sardine into the batter, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- 7. Gently place the coated sardines into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
- 8. Fry the sardines for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp.
- 9. Remove the fried sardines and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 10. In the remaining oil, fry the sliced onions until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
