Ingredients

  • 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
  • 1 pack (500 g) Bhagyalakshmi Rice Flour
  • 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • loose Ginger
  • 100 g Popular Essentials Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
  • 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
  • 140 g Modern Kitchens Raita Boondi - 100 % Rice Bran Oil
  • 1 Bunch Mint Leaves (Pudina)
  • 250 ml Keya Lemon Juice
  • 100 g Garlic - Single Clove

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash and soak the yellow moong dal in water for 4 hours, then drain thoroughly.
  2. 2. Grind the soaked moong dal into a smooth paste with ginger, green chilies, and a little water.
  3. 3. Mix the moong dal paste with rice flour, chopped coriander leaves, cumin seeds, and salt to make a thick batter.
  4. 4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan until moderately hot for frying the fritters.
  5. 5. Drop small portions of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden and crispy, turning occasionally.
  6. 6. Remove the fritters with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. 7. To prepare the mint chutney, blend fresh mint leaves, garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt into a smooth paste.
