Ingredients
- 500G Tata Masoor Dal M
- 1 kg Sweet Potato
- 500 g Onion
- 250g Green Chilli
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- loose Ginger
- 100 g Dhaniya Powder
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Salt
- - Rice Flour
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the masoor dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
- 2. Peel and dice the sweet potato into small cubes and boil until soft.
- 3. Drain the lentils and blend them to a coarse paste using a food processor.
- 4. Mash the boiled sweet potato and mix it with the lentil paste.
- 5. Finely chop the onion, green chili, coriander leaves, and ginger, then add them to the mixture.
- 6. Add ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, and salt to the mixture and combine well.
- 7. Stir in the rice flour to bind the mixture and form a dough-like consistency.
- 8. Shape the mixture into small patties using your hands.
- 9. Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
- 10. Place the patties in the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- 11. Remove the patties from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- 12. Serve the patties hot with a side of mint chutney or tamarind sauce.
