- 1Kg Potato
- 250g Green Chilli
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- - Rice Flour
- 100 g Jeera
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 100 g Salt
Instructions
- 1. Soak the moong dal in water for 4 hours, then drain and grind to a coarse paste.
- 2. Mash the boiled potatoes in a large mixing bowl until smooth and lump-free.
- 3. Finely chop the onions, green chilies, and coriander leaves, and add them to the bowl.
- 4. Mix in the moong dal paste, rice flour, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
- 5. Combine all ingredients thoroughly to form a dough-like mixture that holds together well.
- 6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until it reaches frying temperature.
- 7. Shape the mixture into small, flat fritters using your hands or a spoon.
- 8. Fry the fritters in batches, flipping them occasionally for even cooking and golden-brown color.
- 9. Remove the fritters from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- 10. Serve hot with mint chutney or tamarind sauce for dipping.
