Ingredients

  • 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
  • 200 g Cauliflower Florets
  • 1 pack (500 g) Daily Good Besan / Gram Flour / Chana Besan
  • 1 pack (500 g) Bhagyalakshmi Rice Flour
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
  • loose Ginger
  • 100 g Popular Essentials Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Red Chilli Powder
  • 100G Sur Black Salt
  • 50 g Puramate Baking Soda
  • 5 ltr Guinea Filtered Groundnut Oil For Frying & Sauteing

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse and soak the split yellow moong dal in water for 2 hours, then drain it completely.
  2. 2. In a blender, grind the soaked moong dal with ginger and green chilies into a coarse paste.
  3. 3. Finely chop the cauliflower florets and coriander leaves, then add them to a mixing bowl.
  4. 4. Combine the moong dal paste, chickpea flour, rice flour, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, black salt, and regular salt in the bowl.
  5. 5. Gradually add water to the mixture and stir until it forms a thick batter. Ensure the batter is not too runny.
  6. 6. Sprinkle baking soda into the batter and mix well to aerate it for a fluffy texture.
  7. 7. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat until it reaches frying temperature.
  8. 8. Using a spoon, scoop small portions of the batter and carefully drop them into the hot oil.
