Ingredients

  • 250 g Tendercuts Basa Boneless Fillet F&S
  • 1 Bunch Mint Leaves (Pudina)
  • 270 g Adf Soul Mint Chutney In Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Cut the fish into small bite-sized pieces and set aside in a bowl.
  2. 2. In a separate bowl, mix plant-based yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt to create a marinade.
  3. 3. Add the fish pieces to the marinade and coat them thoroughly. Let them marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. 4. Spread the rice flour on a plate and lightly coat each marinated fish piece with the flour.
  5. 5. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat until it shimmers, but do not let it smoke.
  6. 6. Add the fish pieces to the pan in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
  7. 7. Cook the fish on each side for 3-4 minutes until crispy and golden brown. Remove and set aside on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  8. 8. In a blender, combine mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chili, onion, and a pinch of salt with a splash of water to make a smooth chutney.
  9. 9. Taste the chutney and adjust salt or chili if needed for balance.
  10. 10. Serve the crispy fish tikka bites hot with the mint chutney on the side.
