Ingredients
- 100 g Celery Stalk
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 500G Hisashi Shiitake Mushroom
- 1 kg Tata Salt (Vacuum Evaporated Iodised)
- 900 G Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Dark Soy Sauce
- 107 g Weikfield Corn Flour (Starch) -Gluten Free
- 1 kg Whole Farm Grocery Sugar (Packet)
- 567 G Freshos Water Chestnuts In Water
Instructions
- 1. Slice the celery stalks and onions. Heat a large pan over medium heat and add the sliced celery and chopped onion. Stir and cook for 5 minutes.
- 2. Season the vegetables with 1 tsp salt and stir well.
- 3. Add enough water to cover the ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- 4. Add 1 cup of sliced shiitake mushrooms (rehydrated if dried) and 1 cup of chopped water chestnuts (drained) to the pan. Stir and cook for another 15 minutes.
- 5. Stir in 3 tbsp soy sauce and mix well to evenly coat the ingredients.
- 6. Dissolve 2 tbsp corn flour in a small amount of cold water, then add it to the pan to thicken the sauce. Stir continuously until the sauce reaches the desired consistency.
- 7. Add 1 tbsp sugar and mix thoroughly. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- 8. Serve the stir-fry hot over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
