Ingredients
- 500 ml Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 500 g Organically Grown Tomato (Hybrid) (Tamatar)
- 250 ml Dabur Hommade Lemon Juice (Bottle)
- 750 ml Catch Clear Lemon N Lime Flavoured Water
- 250 g Mirchi Powder (Bedagi)
- 380 g The Baker'S Dozen High Protein Fourgrain Sourdough (Zero Maida Bread)
Instructions
- 1. Wash 250 g of beans thoroughly and rinse them under cold water.
- 2. In a large pot, simmer the beans in 2 quarts of water for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours until tender.
- 3. While the beans are cooking, heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add 1 diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- 4. Add the sautéed onion, 1 diced tomato, 2 tbsp lemon juice, and 1 tbsp Mirchi Powder to the pot with the beans. Stir well and let simmer for another 30 minutes.
- 5. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve the soup hot with crusty sourdough bread on the side.
