These hearty vegan patties combine lentils, walnuts, and vegetables for a satisfying dinner option. Perfectly baked and seasoned with sage, they pair wonderfully with a side salad or your favorite vegan gravy.
Ingredients
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 200 g Hydroponic Sweet Bell Pepper (Cocktail)
- 500 g Nutraj Chilean Walnuts /Akhrot Inshell
- 200 g Catch Sprinklers Iodisedtable Salt
- 500 g Whole Farm Premium Kabuli Chana (Big Size)
- 16 g Orika Oregano
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2. Finely chop 1/3 cup onion and 1/3 cup bell pepper. Set aside.
- 3. In a large mixing bowl, mash 1 1/4 cups cooked kabuli chana with a fork until partially smooth.
- 4. Crack the in-shell walnuts to remove the nutmeats. Finely chop 1/3 cup of the shelled walnuts. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, 1/3 cup finely chopped walnuts, 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano, and 1/2 teaspoon salt to the kabuli chana. Mix well until the ingredients are evenly combined.
- 5. Form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- 6. Bake the patties in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and firm.
- 7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy plain or with your favorite vegan gravy.
