  • 850 g Oleev Smart Vitafit Edibale Vegetable Oil
  • 900 G Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Dark Soy Sauce
  • 1 kg Tata Salt (Vacuum Evaporated Iodised)
  • 1 kg Whole Farm Grocery Sugar (Packet)

Instructions

  1. 1. Cut each chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  2. 2. In a medium glass or plastic bowl, mix 1 egg, 2 teaspoons vegetable oil, 2 teaspoons soy sauce, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon sugar.
  3. 3. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour to allow the flavors to infuse.
  4. 4. After marination, add 1/4 cup water to the chicken mixture and stir well.
  5. 5. In a separate bowl, combine 1/4 cup cornstarch and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. Gradually add this dry mixture to the chicken, mixing until the chicken pieces are evenly coated.
  6. 6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels.
