Ingredients
- 200 g Organic Tofu - Soy Paneer
- 500 G Brown Rice
- 1 kg Bell Peppers
- 1 pc Broccoli
- - Green Peas
- 500Ml Habit Toasted Sesame Oil Cold Presses
- 80 g Soya Sauce
- - Rice Vinegar
- 500 g Sugar
- 100 g Hing Khoda
- 100 g Til
- 1 bunch Spring Onion
- 100 g Cornflour
Instructions
- 1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, Szechuan chili paste, rice vinegar, sugar, and 2 tablespoons of water to create the sauce. Set aside.
- 2. Toss the tofu cubes with cornflour to coat evenly. Heat 1 tablespoon sesame oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté the tofu until golden and crispy on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- 3. In the same pan, add the remaining sesame oil and sauté the asafoetida (hing) briefly. Add the bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
- 4. Reduce the heat to low and pour the prepared sauce over the vegetables. Stir to coat evenly and cook for 2 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- 5. Add the crispy tofu back to the pan and toss gently to combine, ensuring the sauce coats everything evenly.
- 6. To serve, place cooked brown rice in a bowl, top with the Szechuan veggie-tofu mixture, and garnish with sesame seeds and spring onion greens. Serve warm.
