Ingredients

  • 200 g Organic Tofu - Soy Paneer
  • 500 G Brown Rice
  • 1 kg Bell Peppers
  • 1 pc Broccoli
  • - Green Peas
  • 500Ml Habit Toasted Sesame Oil Cold Presses
  • 80 g Soya Sauce
  • - Rice Vinegar
  • 500 g Sugar
  • 100 g Hing Khoda
  • 100 g Til
  • 1 bunch Spring Onion
  • 100 g Cornflour

Instructions

  1. 1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, Szechuan chili paste, rice vinegar, sugar, and 2 tablespoons of water to create the sauce. Set aside.
  2. 2. Toss the tofu cubes with cornflour to coat evenly. Heat 1 tablespoon sesame oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté the tofu until golden and crispy on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. 3. In the same pan, add the remaining sesame oil and sauté the asafoetida (hing) briefly. Add the bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
  4. 4. Reduce the heat to low and pour the prepared sauce over the vegetables. Stir to coat evenly and cook for 2 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  5. 5. Add the crispy tofu back to the pan and toss gently to combine, ensuring the sauce coats everything evenly.
  6. 6. To serve, place cooked brown rice in a bowl, top with the Szechuan veggie-tofu mixture, and garnish with sesame seeds and spring onion greens. Serve warm.
