Ingredients
- 500 g Refined Flour
- - Dry Yeast
- 500 g Sugar
- 100 g Salt
- 500Ml Habit Toasted Sesame Oil Cold Presses
- 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
- 500 g Capsicum Green
- 2 pcs Zucchini
- 80 g Soya Sauce
- 100 g Hing Khoda
- 100 g Til
- - Rice Vinegar
- 100 g Cornflour
Instructions
- 1. In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Gradually add water and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
- 2. Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a pan. Add hing, followed by shredded cabbage, bell peppers, and zucchini. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes until tender.
- 3. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame seeds to the pan. Mix well. Prepare a cornstarch slurry by mixing cornstarch with water, and add it to the vegetables. Cook for another 2 minutes until the mixture thickens. Set aside to cool.
- 4. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into a circle. Place a spoonful of the vegetable filling in the center, gather the edges, and pinch to seal, forming a bun.
- 5. Place the buns on small parchment squares and let them rest for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, set up a steamer and bring the water to a boil.
- 6. Steam the buns for 12-15 minutes until they are fluffy and fully cooked. Remove from the steamer and let cool slightly before serving.
- 7. Serve the steamed vegetable bao wraps warm with a side of soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
