Ingredients
- - Mustard Seeds
- 250 Gms Poppy Seeds
- 500 ml Water
- 250g Green Chilli
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 10G Salt
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
Instructions
- Step 1: Marinate the fish steaks in turmeric powder and salt for 10 minutes.
- Step 2: Heat mustard oil in a pan until it begins to smoke, then reduce the heat and fry the fish steaks lightly on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- Step 3: In the same pan, add mustard paste, poppy seed paste, slit green chilies, and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Step 4: Add warm water to create a gravy and bring to a boil.
- Step 5: Gently slide the fried fish steaks into the gravy. Cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
- Step 6: Adjust salt as needed, and drizzle a teaspoon of raw mustard oil for added aroma before serving.
