Ingredients
- 500 g Onion
- 250 g Carrot
- 1 pc (approx. 250g-500g) Lettuce Iceberg
- 1 kg Potato
- 120 g Burger Buns
- 40 g Kashmiri Chilli Paprika
- 1 kg Quinoa
- 200 g Table Salt
- - Garlic Powder
Instructions
- 1. Prepare Quinoa: Rinse 450g of quinoa under cold water. In a pot, combine quinoa with 900ml of water and a pinch of Keya Table Salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until the water is absorbed and the quinoa is fluffy.
- 2. Grate Vegetables: Peel and grate 250g of carrot and 500g of potato. Place them in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out excess moisture. Finely chop one onion.
- 3. Saute Vegetables: In a frying pan, heat 2 tablespoons of Sunny Soya Fit refined soyabean oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Stir in the grated carrots and potatoes, ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of snapin spice - Kashmiri chilli paprika, and ½ teaspoon of snapin white onion powder. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
- 4. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked quinoa, sautéed vegetables, and season with more Keya Table Salt to taste. Mix thoroughly to form a cohesive mixture.
- 5. Shape Patties: With your hands, form the mixture into patty shapes, ensuring each is compact and holds together well.
- 6. Cook Patties: Heat 2 tablespoons of Sunny Soya Fit refined soyabean oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook each patty for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- 7. Assemble Burgers: Slice each of the two The Baker's Dozen burger buns in half. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half, followed by a quinoa patty. Add any additional toppings as desired, and cover with the top bun.
- 8. Serve: Enjoy your quinoa burgers immediately while they are hot and crispy. Perfect on their own or with your favorite sides.
