Ingredients
- 250 g Carrot
- 200 g Green Peas
- 250g Green Chilli
- 100g Garam Masala
- 500 g Ghee
- 250g Coriander
- 500 ml Water
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 10G Salt
- - Cumin Seed
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a pressure cooker over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds and slit green chili, and sauté until aromatic.
- Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
- Add chopped carrots and green peas. Stir to coat the vegetables with the spices.
- Drain the soaked rice and moong dal, and add them to the cooker. Mix gently.
- Pour in water and season with salt to taste.
- Pressure cook for 2 whistles on medium heat. Allow pressure to release naturally.
- Open the cooker, fluff the khichdi gently, and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve warm with a side of cucumber salad or plain yogurt (optional).
