Ingredients
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 500 g Capsicum Green
- 100 g Hing Khoda
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- - Besan
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Red Chili Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
Instructions
- 1. In a mixing bowl, combine besan, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, hing, and salt. Mix well.
- 2. Gradually add plant-based yogurt (or regular yogurt) and stir to form a smooth batter. Add water as needed to achieve a pourable consistency.
- 3. Fold in chopped coriander leaves, green chilies, and capsicum to the batter. Mix until evenly distributed.
- 4. Heat a tawa (flat griddle) on medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
- 5. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the tawa and spread it evenly into a thin circular shape.
- 6. Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the edges start to lift. Flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- 7. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, greasing the tawa lightly between each chilla.
- 8. Serve hot with a side of chutney or plant-based yogurt for a wholesome breakfast.
