  • 200G Adrak Lasun Paste (200g)
  • 50 Grms Garam Masala Handmade Spices 50 Grms
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Red Chilli Powder
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 100 g Lemon

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the Surmai steaks thoroughly under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel and set aside on a plate.
  2. 2. Prepare the marinade by mixing ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, ground coriander, garam masala, lime juice, mustard oil, and salt in a small bowl. Stir well to form a smooth paste.
  3. 3. Rub the marinade evenly onto both sides of the Surmai steaks. Ensure the fish is well-coated. Cover and let it marinate for 15 minutes at room temperature or in the refrigerator for deeper flavor.
  4. 4. Preheat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium heat. Brush it lightly with oil to prevent sticking.
  5. 5. Place the marinated Surmai steaks on the grill. Cook each side for 5-7 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and has beautiful grill marks. Avoid overcooking to retain the fish's moisture.
  6. 6. Remove the steaks from the grill and transfer them to a serving plate. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with lime wedges and a side of fresh green salad or steamed vegetables.
