Ingredients
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 200G Adrak Lasun Paste (200g)
- 50 Grms Garam Masala Handmade Spices 50 Grms
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 100 g Lemon
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the Surmai steaks thoroughly under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel and set aside on a plate.
- 2. Prepare the marinade by mixing ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, ground coriander, garam masala, lime juice, mustard oil, and salt in a small bowl. Stir well to form a smooth paste.
- 3. Rub the marinade evenly onto both sides of the Surmai steaks. Ensure the fish is well-coated. Cover and let it marinate for 15 minutes at room temperature or in the refrigerator for deeper flavor.
- 4. Preheat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium heat. Brush it lightly with oil to prevent sticking.
- 5. Place the marinated Surmai steaks on the grill. Cook each side for 5-7 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and has beautiful grill marks. Avoid overcooking to retain the fish's moisture.
- 6. Remove the steaks from the grill and transfer them to a serving plate. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with lime wedges and a side of fresh green salad or steamed vegetables.
