Ingredients

  • 20G Curry Leaves
  • 250 ml Coconut Milk
  • Pcs Chings Masala Chicken Chilli
  • 500 g Toor Dal
  • - Onion
  • 250g Green Chilli
  • 500 g Ghee
  • 250g Coriander
  • 1 kg Basmati Rice
  • - Mustard Seeds
  • 500 ml Water
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 100 g Coriander Powder
  • 10G Salt
  • - Cumin Seed

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Heat ghee in the rice cooker. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Step 2: Add curry leaves, green chilies, and sliced onions. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
  3. Step 3: Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell disappears.
  4. Step 4: Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
  5. Step 5: Mix in turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and Chettinad masala powder. Cook for 1-2 minutes until aromatic.
  6. Step 6: Add the chicken pieces and sauté for 5 minutes, allowing them to absorb the spices.
  7. Step 7: Drain the soaked toor dal and rice. Add both to the rice cooker along with coconut milk, water, and salt. Mix well.
  8. Step 8: Close the rice cooker lid and cook on the standard rice setting until everything is cooked and the khichdi has a creamy consistency.
  9. Step 9: Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
