Ingredients
- 20G Curry Leaves
- 250 ml Coconut Milk
- Pcs Chings Masala Chicken Chilli
- 500 g Toor Dal
- - Onion
- 250g Green Chilli
- 500 g Ghee
- 250g Coriander
- 1 kg Basmati Rice
- - Mustard Seeds
- 500 ml Water
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Coriander Powder
- 10G Salt
- - Cumin Seed
Instructions
- Step 1: Heat ghee in the rice cooker. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
- Step 2: Add curry leaves, green chilies, and sliced onions. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
- Step 3: Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell disappears.
- Step 4: Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
- Step 5: Mix in turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and Chettinad masala powder. Cook for 1-2 minutes until aromatic.
- Step 6: Add the chicken pieces and sauté for 5 minutes, allowing them to absorb the spices.
- Step 7: Drain the soaked toor dal and rice. Add both to the rice cooker along with coconut milk, water, and salt. Mix well.
- Step 8: Close the rice cooker lid and cook on the standard rice setting until everything is cooked and the khichdi has a creamy consistency.
- Step 9: Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
