Ingredients

  • 200 g Paneer
  • 250 Gms Poppy Seeds
  • 500 ml Water
  • 1Kg Potato
  • 250g Green Chilli
  • 250g Ginger
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Red Chilli
  • 500 G Sugar
  • 10G Salt
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 250g Coriander

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Heat mustard oil in a pan until it reaches its smoking point, then lower the heat.
  2. Step 2: Add cumin seeds to the hot oil and let them splutter.
  3. Step 3: Add the potato cubes and sauté for 5-6 minutes until lightly golden. Sprinkle turmeric powder and mix well.
  4. Step 4: Add the poppy seed paste, grated ginger, and slit green chilies. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the oil starts to separate.
  5. Step 5: Add paneer cubes, red chili powder, sugar, and salt. Mix gently to coat the paneer without breaking it.
  6. Step 6: Add water and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the potatoes are fully cooked and the curry has a slightly thick consistency.
  7. Step 7: Adjust seasoning, garnish with fresh coriander leaves, and serve hot.
