Ingredients
- 200 g Organic Tofu - Soy Paneer
- 250 ml Olive Oil
- 330G Veeba Sauces, Barbeque Sauce (330g)
- 30 g Smoked Paprika Powder
- - Garlic Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 50 g Black Pepper
- 200 g Paneer
- 250 g Spinach
- 500 g Onion
- 300 g Brown Bread Ladi Pav
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
Instructions
- 1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture by wrapping it in a clean kitchen towel, placing it on a plate, and setting a heavy object on top for 10 minutes.
- 2. Slice the pressed tofu into 1-inch thick slabs and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika on both sides.
- 3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Sear the tofu slabs for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and slightly crispy.
- 4. Brush each tofu slab generously with barbecue sauce and continue cooking for another 2 minutes per side to caramelize the sauce. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- 5. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Slice the sub rolls lengthwise, leaving one side attached to form a hinge.
- 6. Assemble the subs by placing a layer of fresh spinach leaves inside each roll, followed by the BBQ tofu slabs. Top with thinly sliced onion rings and grated pepper jack cheese.
- 7. Place the assembled subs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 8. Remove the subs from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped cilantro for a burst of flavor. Serve hot and enjoy!
