- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 200 ml Sesame Oil
- 100 g Hing Khoda
- 100 g Til
- - Rice Flour
- 100 g Salt
- 100 g Cornflour
- 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
Instructions
- 1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes. In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, cornstarch, turmeric powder, chili flakes, and a pinch of salt. Toss the tofu cubes in this mixture to coat evenly.
- 2. Heat 1 tbsp of sesame oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the coated tofu cubes and pan-fry until golden and crispy on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- 3. In the same pan, heat the remaining sesame oil and add the finely chopped lemongrass and hing. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until aromatic.
- 4. Add the diced green and red bell peppers along with the shredded cabbage. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crunchy.
- 5. Add the -free soy sauce, lime juice, and a pinch of salt to the pan. Stir well to combine and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- 6. Return the crispy tofu to the pan and toss everything together, ensuring the tofu and vegetables are evenly coated with the sauce. Cook for 2 more minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 7. Transfer the dish to a serving plate, sprinkle with black sesame seeds (if using), and serve hot as a snack or appetizer.
