Ingredients

  • - Nigella Seeds
  • 500 ml Water
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 250g Green Chilli
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 10G Salt

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Grind the soaked poppy seeds into a smooth paste using a small amount of water. Set aside.
  2. Step 2: Heat 2 tablespoons of mustard oil in a pan until it begins to smoke lightly, then reduce the heat.
  3. Step 3: Add nigella seeds and slit green chilies to the hot oil. Sauté for a few seconds until aromatic.
  4. Step 4: Add the potato wedges and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
  5. Step 5: Sprinkle turmeric powder and salt over the fish fillets. Gently add them to the pan and lightly fry for 2 minutes on each side.
  6. Step 6: Pour the poppy seed paste over the fish and potatoes. Mix gently to coat everything evenly.
  7. Step 7: Add 200 ml of water to the pan, bring to a simmer, and cook for 10-12 minutes until the fish and potatoes are tender.
  8. Step 8: Taste and adjust salt if needed. Serve hot with steamed rice for a complete meal.
