Ingredients

  • 10 pcs Prawns
  • 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
  • 1 pack (200 g) Godrej Real Good Medium Prawns Peeled & Deveined (Freshly Frozen)
  • 250 g Jasmine Rice
  • 500 ml Oil (For Frying)
  • - Red Chilli Powder
  • - Dark Soy Sauce-90 GM
  • 510 g Oyster Sauce
  • 25 g Whole Black Pepper
  • - Rock Salt
  • 200 G Spring Onion(200Gm)
  • 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the jasmine rice under running water until the water runs clear, then set it aside to drain.
  2. 2. In a medium pot, combine the rinsed rice with 300ml of water and bring it to a boil over medium heat.
  3. 3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let the rice cook for 12-15 minutes until tender.
  4. 4. Meanwhile, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large non-stick pan over medium heat.
  5. 5. Add minced garlic and sliced red chilies to the pan, stirring for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. 6. Toss in the prawns and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until they turn pink and are fully cooked.
  7. 7. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, and a pinch of rock salt to the pan, stirring to coat the prawns evenly.
  8. 8. Remove the pan from heat and sprinkle the prawns with chopped spring onions and coriander leaves for a fresh finish.
  9. 9. Fluff the cooked jasmine rice with a fork and serve it onto plates.
  10. 10. Spoon the spicy garlic prawns over the rice and garnish with extra coriander leaves if desired.
