Ingredients
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 500 g Carrot
- 100 g Celery Stalk
- 1 pc Cabbage Red
- 500 ml Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 50 g X 3 Milagro Farm Smoked Paprika Combo
- 200 g Hommade Tomato Puree
- 400G Chtoura Foods Boiled Chickpeas In Brine
- 70 g Namakwali Authentic Mix Seasoning Flavoured Salt
- 100 g Jk Jeera Powder / Cumin Powder
- 1 pc (50 g) Everest Tasteeto Black Pepper | Grinder Cap Bottle
- 200 g Urban Platter Vegetable Bouillon & Broth Powder
- 1 pack (100 g) Catch Red Kuti Mirch
- 200 g Green Peas (Peeled)
Instructions
- 1. Dice 1 onion, 2 carrots, and 2 celery stalks. Shred 1/2 head of cabbage.
- 2. In a large pot, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion, carrots, and celery, and sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
- 3. Add 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon of ground cumin, and 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder to the pot. Stir well to coat the vegetables with the spices.
- 4. Add 1 can (15 oz) of tomato puree, 1 can (15 oz) of chickpeas (drained and rinsed), 1 can (15 oz) of chickpeas (drained and rinsed), and 1 can (15 oz) of peas (drained). Stir to combine.
- 5. Pour in 4 cups of water mixed with vegetable bouillon powder and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
- 6. Add the shredded cabbage to the pot and cook for an additional 10 minutes until the cabbage is tender.
- 7. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. Serve hot and enjoy your hearty vegan hominy stew.
