- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 1 pack (1 kg) 921 Everyday Long Grain Rice
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- 500 G Preserved Dried Salted Black Beans
- 2 Pieces Red & Yellow Bell Pepper - Protected Cultivation
- 4.6 ltr Saffola Active Refined Cooking Oil Blend Of Rice Bran & Soyabean Oil
- 750 ml Catch Clear Lemon N Lime Flavoured Water
- 70 g Namakwali Authentic Mix Seasoning Flavoured Salt
- 300 g Urban Platter Aka Miso Paste
Instructions
- 1. Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 2. Add 1 diced onion and sauté until tender and beginning to brown, about 5 minutes.
- 3. Stir in 1 cup of white rice and cook, stirring frequently, until the rice begins to change color, about 3-4 minutes.
- 4. Add 2 cups of water, 1 tablespoon of miso paste, 1 diced bell pepper, and salt to taste. Stir well and bring to a boil.
- 5. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the rice cook until the water is absorbed, approximately 20 minutes.
- 6. In a separate pan, heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil over medium heat. Add 2 minced garlic cloves and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- 7. Add 1 cup of cooked black beans to the pan with the garlic. Stir and cook until heated through, about 5 minutes. Season with salt to taste.
- 8. Serve the cooked rice alongside the black beans for a complete and satisfying dinner.
