Ingredients

  • - Fresh Tofu
  • 250 g Jasmine Rice
  • 450 g Fire Kimchi
  • 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
  • 1 kg Bell Peppers
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 500Ml Habit Toasted Sesame Oil Cold Presses
  • - Rice Vinegar
  • 100 g Til
  • 1 bunch Spring Onion
  • 100 g Salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Pat the tofu dry with a clean kitchen towel and cut it into bite-sized cubes. Heat a pan over medium heat and add 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil. Pan-fry the tofu cubes until golden and crispy on all sides. Set aside.
  2. 2. In the same pan, heat the remaining sesame oil and add asafoetida, green chilies, chopped cabbage, and bell peppers. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until they are slightly softened but still retain a crunch.
  3. 3. Add the kimchi to the pan and stir-fry for 2 minutes to release its flavors. Then, mix in the tamari, rice vinegar, and chili flakes. Adjust salt to taste at this stage.
  4. 4. Gently fold in the cooked rice, ensuring it’s evenly coated with the kimchi and vegetable mixture. Stir for 2-3 minutes until the rice is heated through.
  5. 5. Add the pan-fried tofu to the rice mixture and toss gently to combine. Cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the tofu to absorb the flavors.
  6. 6. Remove the pan from heat and garnish the dish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onion greens. Serve hot and enjoy!
