Ingredients
- - Fresh Tofu
- 250 g Jasmine Rice
- 450 g Fire Kimchi
- 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
- 1 kg Bell Peppers
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 500Ml Habit Toasted Sesame Oil Cold Presses
- - Rice Vinegar
- 100 g Til
- 1 bunch Spring Onion
- 100 g Salt
Instructions
- 1. Pat the tofu dry with a clean kitchen towel and cut it into bite-sized cubes. Heat a pan over medium heat and add 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil. Pan-fry the tofu cubes until golden and crispy on all sides. Set aside.
- 2. In the same pan, heat the remaining sesame oil and add asafoetida, green chilies, chopped cabbage, and bell peppers. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until they are slightly softened but still retain a crunch.
- 3. Add the kimchi to the pan and stir-fry for 2 minutes to release its flavors. Then, mix in the tamari, rice vinegar, and chili flakes. Adjust salt to taste at this stage.
- 4. Gently fold in the cooked rice, ensuring it’s evenly coated with the kimchi and vegetable mixture. Stir for 2-3 minutes until the rice is heated through.
- 5. Add the pan-fried tofu to the rice mixture and toss gently to combine. Cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the tofu to absorb the flavors.
- 6. Remove the pan from heat and garnish the dish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onion greens. Serve hot and enjoy!
