Ingredients
- 250 g Carrot
- 500 g Capsicum Green
- 90 g Dark Soy Sauce
- 200 g Table Salt
- 500 g Sugar
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 500 Ml Champion Oil
Instructions
- 1. Soak 200g of rice cakes in warm water for 30 minutes to soften them.
- 2. In a pan, heat 1 tbsp of oil and sauté 1 finely chopped onion until translucent.
- 3. Add 2 minced garlic cloves and sauté for another minute.
- 4. Add 2 cups of water, 2 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tbsp of sugar, and 1 tsp of red chili powder to the pan. Mix well.
- 5. Drain the soaked rice cakes and add them to the pan. Stir to coat them evenly with the sauce.
- 6. Cover the pan and let it simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 7. Add 1 cup of sliced carrots and 1 cup of sliced capsicum. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
- 8. Check the seasoning and adjust with salt if needed.
- 9. Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot.
