Instructions

  1. 1. Gather all ingredients: 300g ground chicken, 1 small onion (finely chopped), 1 garlic clove (minced), 1 tsp ginger (grated), 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp mirin, 1 tsp sesame oil, 1 egg, 2 tbsp panko breadcrumbs, salt and pepper to taste, and bamboo skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes).

  8. 8. Place the skewered meatballs on the grill pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  10. 10. Once cooked, remove the skewers from the pan and let them rest for 2-3 minutes.
  11. 11. Serve the Tsukune hot, optionally garnished with chopped green onions or sesame seeds, and accompanied by a dipping sauce made from soy sauce, mirin, and a dash of lime juice.
