Ingredients

  • 200 g Organic Tofu - Soy Paneer
  • 200 ml Sesame Oil
  • 230 gram Katsu Sauce
  • - Bread Crumbs - Plain
  • 200 g Table Salt
  • 500 g Wheat Flour / Maida

Instructions

  1. 1. Prepare the tofu by gently pressing it between paper towels to remove excess moisture, then cut the tofu into slices of desired thickness.
  2. 2. In a bowl, mix the wheat flour with a pinch of Keya Table Salt. In another bowl, add the soy beverage to use as a plant-based milk alternative.
  3. 3. Dip each tofu slice into the flour mixture, ensuring it's well-coated on all sides. Then, dip the flour-coated tofu into the soy beverage.
  4. 4. Once coated with the soy beverage, gently cover the tofu slices with the American Garden plain bread crumbs, pressing lightly to ensure the crumbs stick.
  5. 5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a combination of canola oil and a small amount of Patanjali virgin sesame oil for extra flavor.
  6. 6. Fry the breaded tofu slices in the heated oil until golden brown on each side, which should take around 3-4 minutes per side. Adjust the heat as necessary to avoid burning.
  7. 7. Remove the fried tofu slices from the skillet and drain them on a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess oil.
  8. 8. Serve the crispy tofu katsu slices with Meishi authentic katsu sauce on the side or drizzled over the top for a flavorful finish.
