Ingredients
- 500g Sushi Rice - Tasty & Healthy, Product Of Japan
- Pack of 10 Yaki Sushi Nori Seaweed Sheet
- 250 g Cucumber
- 1 kg Bell Peppers
- - Rice Vinegar
- 100 g Til
- 80 g Soya Sauce
Instructions
- 1. Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, transfer it to a large bowl and let it cool slightly. Mix in the rice vinegar, sesame oil, and asafoetida, ensuring the rice is evenly seasoned.
- 2. Prepare the fillings by julienning the cucumber and bell pepper into thin strips. Keep them aside for easy assembly.
- 3. Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat, shiny side down. Spread a thin, even layer of the seasoned sushi rice over the nori, leaving a 1-inch gap at the top edge.
- 4. Arrange the cucumber and bell pepper strips horizontally across the center of the rice layer. Sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over the fillings.
- 5. Carefully roll the nori from the bottom edge using the bamboo mat, pressing gently to create a tight roll. Seal the top edge with a bit of water to close the roll securely.
- 6. Using a sharp knife, cut the roll into bite-sized pieces. Wipe the knife with a damp cloth between cuts to maintain clean edges.
- 7. Serve the sushi rolls with soy sauce and a sugar-free sweetener-based dipping sauce for added flavor.
