Ingredients
- - Fresh Tofu
- 300 g Shiro Miso Paste
- 500Ml Habit Toasted Sesame Oil Cold Presses
- - Rice Vinegar
- 236 ml Maple Syrup
- 250 g Jasmine Rice
- 1 kg Bell Peppers
- 250 g Cucumber
- 1pc Avocado
- 100 g Til
- 50 g Asafoetida Powder
Instructions
- 1. Press the tofu for 15-20 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
- 2. In a bowl, whisk together white miso paste, tamari, sesame oil, rice vinegar, maple syrup, and asafetida to create a marinade.
- 3. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and toss gently to coat. Let it sit for 20 minutes to absorb flavors.
- 4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tbsp of neutral oil. Fry the marinated tofu cubes for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and slightly crispy on all sides.
- 5. Assemble the donburi by placing a portion of cooked jasmine rice in each bowl. Top with the cooked tofu, julienned red bell peppers, cucumber, avocado slices, and chopped green onions.
