Ingredients

  • 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
  • 200 g Organic Tofu - Soy Paneer
  • 1 kg Bell Peppers
  • 2 pcs Zucchini
  • 236 ml Maple Syrup
  • - Rice Vinegar
  • 500Ml Habit Toasted Sesame Oil Cold Presses
  • 50 g Asafoetida Powder
  • 100 g Cornflour
  • 100 g Til

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the rice thoroughly and cook it over medium heat until fluffy, following standard rice cooking instructions.
  2. 2. Press the tofu to remove excess water, then cut it into bite-sized cubes. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a pinch of salt and coat the tofu cubes evenly.
  3. 3. Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the tofu cubes until golden and crispy on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  4. 4. In the same pan, add asafoetida, followed by the chopped bell peppers, zucchini, and shredded cabbage. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender yet crisp.
  5. 5. In a separate bowl, combine -free soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, and a splash of water to create the teriyaki sauce. Pour the sauce into the pan with the vegetables, stirring well to coat them evenly.
  6. 6. Add the fried tofu back into the pan and gently toss to coat it with the teriyaki sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. 7. Assemble the donburi bowl by serving the cooked rice as a base, topped with the tofu and vegetable mixture. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions (optional) for garnish.
