Ingredients
- 6 pcs White Eggs
- 1 l Refined Soyabean Oil
- 100 g Unsalted Butter
- 200 g Table Salt
- 500 g Sugar
- 500G Maida (Refined Flour)
Instructions
- 1. In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 100g of Amul unsalted butter, and a pinch of iodised salt. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
- 2. Once the mixture is boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add 200g of Fortune maida/refined flour all at once, stirring vigorously until the mixture forms a smooth dough and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
- 3. Transfer the dough to a large bowl and let it cool for about 5 minutes. This prevents the eggs from cooking when added.
- 4. Add 4 Yojana poultry white power eggs, one at a time, to the cooled dough, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.
- 5. Heat Sunny Soya Fit refined soyabean oil in a deep frying pan or pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 6. Using two spoons, drop tablespoons of dough into the hot oil, frying a few zeppole at a time. Fry until they are golden brown and puffed, about 4-5 minutes per batch.
- 7. Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried zeppole from the oil and drain them on a paper towel-lined plate.
- 8. While still warm, roll the zeppole in Madhur refined sugar until evenly coated. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Italian doughnuts!
